Pandemic coming to dvd-review to follow!

MTI Home Video is based out of MIAMI, FL and is celebrating their 25th Anniversary and SHU-IZMZ was lucky enough to be receiving screeners from them of their films, so look for reviews released from MTI Home Video in the future. Here is the press release for the newly acquired feature film action thriller PANDEMIC, directed by Jason Connery (The Devil's Tomb (2009)), who you may recognize as an actor in over 60 film and television productions. This is Jason's 2nd directorial effort.

I was excited to see this film solely on the fact that Ray Wise (Swamp Thing, Twin Peaks) stars in it and I loved him in Swamp Thing and heard him speak in Chicago before and he was such a gentleman. Also in PANDEMIC are Graham McTavish (Rambo), Peter Asle Holden (The Beneficiary), Andrew Reville (In My Pocket), Kristi Culbert (In My Pocket), and Alesha Clarke (Garden Party). The film will be released exclusively on DVD October 20, 2009. Look for a review of PANDEMIC to follow only at SHU-IZMZ!

Plot synopsis:

"A veterinarian finds herself in the midst of a horrifying pandemic where humans and animals are stricken with a horrible, contagious disease. When the military quarantines the area and cuts off all communications, she must pair up with an eccentric conspiracy theorist as they fight to discover the true source of the threat and expose it or risk a viral threat more devastating than anything the world has ever seen!"

The film was directed by Jason Connery, written by Aaron Pope (Dark Reel, Air Marshal), and produced by Connery (Wired), and Ricki Maslar (The Year the Trembled, Penance).

DVD Extras include: 16:9 widescreen format, 5.1 Dolby digital surround sound, filmmakers' commentary, interviews, interactive menus, scene selection, trailers and optional Spanish subtitles.
